The Domain of Montnègre
The life in the vineyard
The life in the cellar

Historic

It’s in 2002 that Françoise and Patrick came to grips with the family domain, which was then in tenant farming. From then on , despite they just got their retirement, they put a lot of themselves into their new job for theses lands so much cherished by the whole family : Françoise grew up there with her 6 brothers and sisters and all of their children have many holidays memories.

Patrick put then his agronomy engineer skills in the service of the vineyard : Its rigour and its curiosity conjugate every day to improve the work in vineyards and the techniques of wine making. The challenge is so big but the passion is there and comes along with a human adventure rich in meetings and in sharing’s.

In the heart of the Languedoc.

The domain and its cave are located 20 kms from Montpellier on the axis Montpellier – Millau , right in the heart of the region Languedoc Roussillon

The region Languedoc Roussillon is one of the largest vineyards area of the world. No other area concentrates a density of vineyard comparable to that of Languedoc Roussillon. This region delivers as much wine as all the United States, almost the double of Australia, three times more than South Africa.

Map of appelations

On a mosaic of soils, under the climate the most convenient to the vineyard, 25.000 wine growers compete in know-how to produce the widest palette of wines which a land can produce.

The History forged current Languedoc: Greeks, Romain, Benedictines, Cathars, all left their imprints in the civilization from the Languedoc: rich and contrasted land, with which the vineyard covers 45 000 ha in Controlled Origin Label on three departments lined by the Mediterranean coast.
